Jessica Montemayor was born and raised in the urban streets of East Los Angeles with the desire to be an agent of social change and of service to others. This yearning led Jessica to pursue a Master of Social Welfare from UCLA where she received her degree in 2013. While in graduate school, Jessica interned in the Mental Health program at El Centro Del Pueblo and found her passion in working in community mental health serving disenfranchised communities of color. Jessica has been connected to El Centro Del Pueblo since 2012 where her role progressively evolved from intern, to Clinical Therapist, to now the Head of Service and Clinical Director of Mental Health. In her current role, Jessica oversees the Mental Health program and contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
