Partnerships and Overview of Services
El Centro Del Pueblo offers comprehensive programs that support at-risk children, youth and their families that range from workforce development to literacy classes and AIDS education. Through these direct services, incredible leadership, innovative family-based programs, and a focus on youth, El Centro Del Pueblo has grown from a community agency to a community treasure.
El Centro provides services for families in a culturally, ethnically and linguistically competent basis. We recognize the need to provide services in a collaborative basis with other organizations that have history and trust among the communities we usually serve. That is why we are a lead or member agency for over a dozen collaborative programs, which provide services to Korean, Pilipino, Chinese, Chicano, Central American and African-American families.
Over the years, El Centro has worked with businesses on issues such as housing, zoning, marketing and economic development, and provided job training and employment opportunities for thousands of youth and adults in our programs.
Today, we provide a wide range of comprehensive, coordinated services in Central, Northeast and South Los Angeles to over 4,000 families annually.
