Mental Health

Our clinical program offers culturally and linguistically sensitive mental health services driven by intervention plans developed in collaboration with our clients and their families. Our clinical staff are bilingual (Spanish/English) and racially diverse. We have developed our capacity to implement several well researched mental health evidence-based practices, including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), Seeking Safety and Triple P.  For many of our clients and their families, this is their first time receiving mental health services; therefore, we work diligently to help ensure that we “demystify” mental health and work with them so that they feel included in the design and implementation of services.

Our clinical program also serves as a training site for graduate students pursuing their Master’s in Social Work or Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from major universities in Southern California. El Centro has more than a 10 year history training culturally competent practitioners.
